Aune Photo, LLC — Session Policies

My goal is to provide an enjoyable, stress-free, and memorable portrait experience while creating images you’ll be proud to display for years to come.

These policies help establish clear expectations and ensure a smooth experience for everyone involved.


BOOKING AND PAYMENT

  • A signed Photography Agreement is required before a session date can be reserved.
  • Aune Photo does not currently require a retainer for most portrait sessions. However, session availability is limited, and appointment times are reserved specifically for each client.
  • Final payment is due before downloadable high-resolution images, print rights, or final image delivery are released.
  • Proof galleries, image previews, and image-selection galleries may be provided before final payment is received.
  • Accepted payment methods will be communicated during the booking process.


OUTFITS & SESSION PREPARATION

  • Included outfit changes vary by collection. Current details are available on the pricing guide and booking proposal.
  • Clients are encouraged to select outfits that reflect their personality while remaining comfortable, authentic, and timeless.
  • A style guide is available upon request.


PROPS

  • Props are welcome and often help create more meaningful and personalized images. Popular examples include:
  • sports equipment;
  • musical instruments;
  • books;
  • graduation items;
  • letterman jackets;
  • vehicles;
  • hobby-related items; and
  • personal items with sentimental value.
  • If you are unsure whether a prop is appropriate, feel free to ask before your session.


ARRIVAL & SESSION TIMING

  • Please arrive on time and ready to begin.
  • Late arrivals reduce available photography time and may limit:
  • outfit changes;
  • location variety;
  • posing variety; and
  • overall image selection.
  • Session lengths vary depending upon the selected collection and services purchased.
  • Additional time may occasionally be available but cannot be guaranteed.


RESCHEDULING & WEATHER

  • Life happens, and outdoor photography often depends on weather conditions. Aune Photo will make reasonable efforts to accommodate:
  • up to two weather-related or illness-related reschedules; and
  • one client-requested convenience reschedule.
  • All rescheduling requests are subject to photographer availability.
  • Rescheduled sessions do not receive priority over previously confirmed bookings.
  • Outdoor photography is dependent upon weather, seasonal conditions, available daylight, and location accessibility.
  • Location recommendations, timing adjustments, and scheduling changes may occasionally be recommended to provide the best possible experience and final images.


PROOF GALLERIES & IMAGE SELECTION

  • Proof galleries are typically delivered within seven (7) days following the session.
  • Most galleries are delivered sooner, but turnaround times may vary during busy seasons.
  • Clients are encouraged to complete image selections within thirty (30) days of gallery delivery.
  • Extended delays may impact:
  • gallery availability;
  • image retrieval;
  • delivery timelines; and
  • final gallery availability.
  • Included images  vary by collection. Current details are available on the pricing guide and booking proposal.
  • Additional images may be available for purchase.


FINAL IMAGE DELIVERY

  • Final edited images are typically delivered within seven (7) days after image selections have been received.
  • Most final galleries are delivered sooner whenever possible.
  • Images are delivered through a private online gallery.
  • High-resolution downloads become available once all outstanding balances have been paid.


IMAGE RETOUCHING

  • Every delivered image receives professional editing consistent with the Aune Photo style.
  • Standard retouching typically includes:
  • color correction;
  • exposure adjustments;
  • contrast adjustments;
  • temporary blemish removal;
  • skin softening;
  • flyaway hair reduction;
  • minor wrinkle reduction;
  • glasses glare reduction when possible;
  • removal of common background distractions; and
  • braces removal upon request.
  • More extensive editing may require additional fees and turnaround time. Examples of custom retouching include:
  • head swaps;
  • compositing;
  • body reshaping;
  • facial reshaping;
  • digital clothing recoloring;
  • major object removal;
  • • significant background reconstruction; and
  • other advanced image-editing requests.
  • Custom retouching requests are quoted individually.


LOCATIONS AND TRAVEL

  • Most locations within Davis County and Salt Lake County are included.
  • For locations beyond the normal service area, additional travel fees may apply.
  • Any location-related expenses are the responsibility of the client unless otherwise agreed in writing, including:
  • location permits;
  • photography permits;
  • admission fees;
  • parking fees;
  • reservation fees; and
  • similar costs.
  • Travel fees, if applicable, will be discussed and agreed upon before the session.
  • Location recommendations are always available if you’d like assistance selecting the perfect setting for your session.


GROUP PHOTOS (FRIENDS / DANCE SESSIONS)

  • For sessions involving dates, friends, classmates, or other non-client participants, Aune Photo may require a signed Model Release from each identifiable participant before photographs containing that participant may be used for portfolio display, social media, marketing, publication, competition submissions, or other public uses.
  • Participants without a signed Model Release may still be photographed and included in images delivered to the Client; however, Aune Photo reserves the right to withhold, crop, limit, or restrict public use of those images until appropriate permissions have been obtained.


DOWNLOADS & ARCHIVING

  • Online galleries typically remain available for thirty (30) days following delivery.
  • Clients are strongly encouraged to download and back up all purchased images promptly.
  • Aune Photo is not a permanent storage service.
  • While images may be retained beyond thirty (30) days, long-term storage is not guaranteed.
  • Gallery restoration, file retrieval, gallery reactivation, or image re-delivery requests may be subject to a reasonable administrative fee.


PRINTING & COLOR

  • Images are edited for professional labs.
  • Printing elsewhere may result in color differences and is not guaranteed.
  • If you already know the lab where your images will be printed, you can ask in advance what color space they prefer and I will try to accommodate those, but cannot guarantee an exact match between screen appearance and final printed results.


RESPECTFUL CONDUCT

  • Aune Photo is committed to providing a professional and respectful experience for everyone involved.
  • Sessions may be paused or terminated without refund if participants engage in threatening, abusive, unsafe, unlawful, harassing, or otherwise inappropriate behavior toward the photographer, participants, venue staff, or members of the public.


SCHOOL & ORGANIZATION AFFILIATION

  • Aune Photo is an independent photography business. Unless expressly stated otherwise in writing, Aune Photo is not affiliated with, endorsed by, sponsored by, or officially associated with:
  • any school;
  • school district;
  • university;
  • yearbook organization;
  • athletic program;
  • extracurricular activity; or
  • other organization.
  • Any references to schools, teams, organizations, or activities are for identification purposes only.
