Senior Portrait Experience

Senior year passes quickly—but the portraits should endure.

Each session is thoughtfully designed to create images that feel both natural and refined. From planning and styling to lighting and composition, every detail is guided so your senior can feel confident, comfortable, and fully themselves in front of the camera.

This is more than a photoshoot.

It’s a curated  experience—and the beginning of images that will be kept for years to come.

FAQ

What locations can I use for my portrait session?

I will travel up to 20 miles in any direction from North Salt Lake as part of the standard pricing. If the desired location is beyond that, there will be an additional charge to cover expenses incurred. Any additional pricing will be agreed upon before payment is made.

Do I have to order my prints through Aune Photo?

I use professional labs for my prints and they consistently produce great results. However, you are able to take the high resolution images to any photography lab and order your own prints. I'm even happy to recommend both online and local labs that produce great results. One caution, however, is grocery store labs. They have auto-tuning features that may change the coloring, lighting, or exposure of the images when printed.

Are there any additional fees charged?

There are a few situations that may incur additional costs and they are typically known prior to booking. If there are fees incurred for the session (e.g. entrance fee to gardens, photographer fee to take pictures in a private location, etc.), those are the responsibility of the client.

How long does it take to receive the final photos?

I typically deliver the proofs within 7 days (although it may take longer during busy seasons). After you have selected your photos for final touch-ups, allow up to two weeks to complete those images.

Can I bring props (e.g. instrument, sport equipment, stuffed animal, letterman jacket, shoe collection, etc.)?

For individual and senior portraits, this is encouraged. The session is all about capturing you! So bring things that represent you, have significant meaning, or show your accomplishments.

Do I need to order a package for prints to get the digital images?

You get the full-resolution thoughtfully edited final digital images as part of the session fee per your package. You can purchase additional images or the entire collection of proof images if you desire more pictures.

Can you recommend any good locations?

Although I let my clients choose, often they don't know places that have what they want. If you tell me what kind of location you want, I can usually give suggestions and even photos taken at those locations. Do you want town and country, urban, classy, urban-edge, nature, waterfall, or something different? Let me know and we'll find the right place for you.

What if the weather is bad on the day of an outdoor shoot?

Each session is allowed one rebooking for weather at no additional cost. However, I cannot guarantee availability of desired dates if changed. My cameras and lenses are weather sealed and I can do pictures in drizzling rain and blizzards (I've done both) if you want to keep the session and get something even more unique.  One of my favorite sessions was for a wedding shot at a park during a snow storm. The choice is yours and you will not be charged for Mother Nature's interference.
